Until a year ago, hotshot music director SS Thaman was under intense scrutiny and faced severe criticism for his stale compositions and lackluster background score. Tollywood music lovers and even some bigwigs in the industry openly suggested Thaman to come out of his monotonous tunes, which were full of his trademark trumpets and drums.
However, things have changed drastically over a period of one year. Thaman seems to have introspected and his compositions are now being widely appreciated by one and all and especially, his background score for some of the recent films has been highly appreciated.
The latest classy examples are Balakrishna's Dictator motion poster and Ram Charan's Bruce Lee teasers. Both the films are action entertainers and Thaman raised the bar with his thumping music for both the films' teasers. Even some of Thaman's last few films like Kick 2 and Tiger were hugely lauded for their background score and Thaman literally pulled off a few mediocre scenes with his background music alone. Let's wait for the release of Bruce Lee and Dictator to see Thaman go full throttle.
